Former RBD, Christian Chavez, has been recruited by Peruanitos Foundation’s “No More Children Working in the Streets” campaign, in which renowned actresses Gabriela Spanic and Mariana Seoane also participated in recent years.
As part of its constant commitment to convey a message of love, unity and assistance to orphan children in Peru, Peruanitos Foundation –headquartered in Los Angeles under the leadership of Peruvian businessman Jimmy Perez Johnson– announced Chavez’s upcoming arrival. Chavez, a renowned singer and the star of many popular teen soap operas, will be the campaign’s main spokesperson and will bring happiness to many Peruvian children living in extreme poverty.
Chavez will visit different places in Lima and besides spreading a message of hope along the way, he will also motivate and persuade local decision makers and organizations to contribute in putting an end to homelessness; so that less Peruvian kids have to wonder the streets, putting their physical and moral integrity at risk.
In addition, Peruanitos Foundation has lined up the delivery of an important donation to children that lack not only a family but also the access to their most basic needs.
In 2009, the queen of soap operas, Gabriela Spanic, travelled to Peru to inaugurate a new school in Huaycan, which was built with funds from Peruanitos Foundation.
In 2010, georgeous actress and singer Mariana Seoane, also travelled to Peru along with Peruanitos Foundation staff. The group arrived in a remote town in Puno, where they personally delivered clothes and blankets to hundreds of children and their families as part of a prevention campaign against frost, a cause of death among residents of the highlands.
Christian Chavez will hold a press conference at the Westin Hotel on Thursday, June 30 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in order to inform his fans about his role in spreading the mission of Peruanitos Foundation.
